Hell yeah to the busk! And funny this… but I kinda feel like writing here, unpaid, is verrrry similar. To me, anyway. This environment continues to allow me the space to experiment, hone, develop, riff, while taking in some realtime feedback (as well as a few bucks thrown into the guitar case).
An enthusiastic hells yeah to the busk. We have so many opportunities to practice our craft in ways that expand our abilities. I think we become somewhat blocked at times unable to actually see all the potential spaces and places for studios of any kind. This is a great reminder for us to get out there are practice in public.
The new Bon Iver album has been on repeat in my car lately. I need to pause and listen to it at home on the record player. There is so much there and I've only been partially present. Loved seeing There's a Rhythm included this week.
I think what these open spaces allow us to do is experiment and play. sounds like that is one of the ways you are using the time and space. It's a really good reminder to switch up our location. Whether in solitude or in a group. The collision of a new space can add so much.
Yes to Bon Iver and all the vocal experimentation on this album. So many sonic things going on. I absolutely love how the sound on the fist track leads into track number 2. It made me salivate.

*practicing in public!!
There is something very similar — now that you mention it. A public experiment container. I feel that. That’s a beautiful insight.
Was a bit of a lightbulb moment, honestly, bombarded as we are by the existential SS question of paid subscription or non. Thanks for the reframe!!

Practicing in public is teaching me many interesting things, even song selection became a conversation with myself.
I love this Bon Iver with the lower voice -- and the message. A reminder to myself not to freak: There's a Rhythm, There's a Rhythm...
